Instagram adds new curbs, won’t let adult strangers message teens

Instagram said it will roll out new features that will provide better protection to young users. The new features would include block on adults messaging teens who don’t follow them. The app would also display prompts for ’potentially suspicious’ direct messages. Teens in the photo-sharing app would see safety notices in messages when an adult shows ’potentially suspicious behavior.’

Glad that parents can have a little more confidence, although kids should already be getting this guidance from their schools and peers so perhaps parent confidence is the extent of the effects of this change.

How about children who should be expanding their minds are actually parented by their parents . you allow your kids to walk all over you they have no respect etc. Bad behavior is a reflection of the parents.

Don’t be too sure about this. Facebook has a terrible reputation, remember. I wouldn’t trust Zuckerberg to hold my beer.
