Philadelphia man who spent 15 years in prison sues city over withheld evidence

Donald Outlaw, a Philadelphia man who spent 15 years in prison for murder, is suing the city and two detectives for withholding evidence that would have proved his innocence. It emerged that Jamal Kelly, the man Outlaw was convicted of killing, had told police in dying breath that someone else named ’Shank’ had shot him. It was never disclosed during Outlaw’s trial four years later, in 2004.

People that withhold exculpatory evidence should inherit the sentence. Corrupt DA in Philadelphia, huh? What party has run that city for the last 70 years?

If they made a law stating; “if you willingly, wrongfully prosecute someone you know to be innocent your punishment is to do the time they would have gotten.” We would never see this again. I would rather 10 guilty go free than 1 innocent be imprisoned.

Whenever you hear the phrase "Innocent until proven guilty" you are hearing propaganda and lies. If you've been arrested, you are presumed guilty until you prove your innocence. This is what "Prison For Profit" is doing. Perhaps Bernie Sanders was onto something... Oh, but I was told he was a socialist and a progressive. And real patriotic Americans are anti-social and don't want any progress either.

Not sure if calling yourself “The Man Outlaw” is going to help you with a jury of your peers.
