Two Canadians – Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig – charged with spying in China will go on trial Friday and Monday. They were detained since December 2018 and were charged last June. Their detention came after the arrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou in Vancouver over charges that Huawei violated US sanctions on Iran. China hasn’t disclosed any evidence against the two, but said they were ’solid.’
