Canadian tried in China on spy charges

China on Friday put on trial one of two Canadians held for more than two years in apparent retaliation for Canada’s arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. Canada said its consular officials were refused permission to attend the proceedings against Michael Spavor. Spavor is accused of stealing state secrets. No verdict has been announced in the trial.

Especially since the CCP / Xi want to be acknowledged as an emerging power, stupidly they forget, respect is actually earned by actions - certainly not from their continual hypocrisy and bully like tactics. But then, they have never known what fairness is and the likelihood is ; their in for another humiliating century.
