Italy inaugurates forest in memory of country’s Covid victims who died

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi visited Bergamo to commemorate the anniversary of the day when an army convoy had to be called to transport out coffins of those who died of Covid-19 as its cemeteries and crematoriums were overwhelmed. There he inaugurated a forest named in honor of the more than 100,000 victims in the country. The ’Wood of Memory’ will be a living monument in their memory.
