Julia Letlow, the widow of Luke Letlow who died of complications related to COVID-19 last year, made history Saturday as the first Republican woman elected to Congress from Louisiana. Letlow takes over the would-be seat of her late husband. Letlow was endorsed by former President Trump. ’I will listen more than I speak and seek to find solutions to our region’s challenges,’ she said on her win.
Ugh, as much as I like to see the left denied a seat, I get the feeling this was a sympathy vote. There is nothing of note about her background readily available, and marketing/administration is not exactly the only thing I want to see on a candidates resume. Hope she does well, but not alit if expectations here.
@Edwin. Your spot on IMO. I mean I'm sorry for anyone's loss in that situation but seriously?! Looks like she is in the position now so hopefully her talent shines through..otherwise it's a waste of hers and our time..and money.
Neutral and Edwin You have to ask this fundamental question that admittedly sets a very low bar; “Could she do more damage to our nation than Pelosi?” That being said, welcome congresswoman!
