Myanmar’s military sanctioned by US and allies
Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State announced fresh sanctions against members of Myanmar’s military. The sanctions have come as a result of the ongoing crackdown on pro-democracy protests since the military seized power in a February 1 coup. Blinken said that the US ’continues to call on the military regime to release all those unjustly detained; stop its attacks on civil society members.’
