Angela Merkel relies on Easter circuit breaker to combat ’new pandemic’

Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, has said that the lockdown in the country is set to be extended until the 18th of April. She further called on the citizens to stay at home over the Easter holidays for five days in order to try and break the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Leaders of Germany’s 16 states have been pushed by Merkel to take a tougher stance to fight the pandemic.
