Police officer killed in Boulder shooting was seeking new job

51-year-old Eric Talley, a Boulder police officer was among the 10 people gunned down at King Soopers when a gunman opened fire. Following the massacre, the police officer’s father said his son had been learning to become a drone operator so he could step away from the front line. Talley is survived by his wife, and seven children, with the youngest child being seven years old.
