Colorado congressman calls for federal gun laws after mass shooting

Representative Jason Crow (D-Colorado) has called upon the US Congress to bring stricter gun laws. This comes in the wake of the mass shooting in Boulder that left 10 people dead. Crow said federal gun laws would make communities safer. Talking to CNN, he said, ’There are common sense laws and legislation that we can pass that will help make our communities safer. We just have to get them done.’

What am I missing? Let's make more laws, to reinforce existing laws that criminals already don't follow? Meanwhile the majority that own guns (legally) are the only ones that will actually obey them...I'm having trouble following any logic here, can someone fill me in on what I am missing? I don't even own a gun and this seems...pointless, is the best word I can come up with.

See the knife killing rates of every country that outlaws guns. Gee shocker they just replace the gun violence. The government wants guns illegal so you can't fight back if it comes to it. REMEMBER THAT!

Murder is already illegal. If people follow THAT law, no gun laws would be necessary. Democrats aren't trying to take away illegal guns or guns from criminals. They only want to take them from law-abiding citizens......EVERY TIME! Laws never stop people from breaking laws.

The biggest reform would be banning political contributions from any entity that is not a human being. The NRA is no longer a gun safety advocate, they are a mouthpiece for the sales departments of gun factories.

All the "common sense" fun laws are already in place. I don't see calls for common sense budget laws. Also can be and is done at a state level. But then the average citizen would be closer to the issue.

Yep, one more gun law was exactly what i was thinking would be the very thing we need to make folks not shoot anybody ever again.🤣🤣🤣🤣

People have to stop caring what conservatives think about gun control and start advocating that changes get made without bipartisanship. Like the stimulus was and other things need to be.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Criminals don’t care about regulations. Figure it out morons

We need less gun laws and more accountability for agencies that don’t do their job. Ie: Sutherland springs shooting.

Jason Crow can put a sock in it. His antiAmerican, anti constitutional rants will not be tolerated by freedom loving Americans.
