AstraZeneca vaccine trial may have used ’outdated information’, US says
US health officials said Tuesday that results from a trial of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine may have included ’outdated information.’ The Data and Safety Monitoring Board said that it was concerned that AstraZeneca may have provided an incomplete view of the efficacy data. This comes after AstraZeneca reported Monday that its COVID-19 vaccine provided strong protection among adults of all ages.
See! This is why I'm not getting the vaccine yet. I'm waiting a full year before I get it, because they didn't have enough time to really test it. This is what happens when you rush and cut corners
Didn't they originally say the vaccine was 94% effective? Now it's only 79% effective. What will it be by next Tuesday?

There's a big difference between efficacy and safety. Some of the reason it took ten years to approve a vaccine in the past was profit motive. It's called "milking the job". Warp Speed incentivised Not milking the job. They still tested fully for safety, they just fudged the numbers a bit on the efficacy part. That's capitalism doing it's part.
