Kermit the Frog, Janet Jackson added to National Recording Registry

25 new selections were inducted by the Library of Congress into a national registry, featuring recordings by Louis Armstrong, Janet Jackson, Ira Glass and Kermit the Frog among others. The Library of Congress said the new selections are joining other ’audio treasures worthy of preservation’ in the National Recording Registry. 900 public nominations were received by the library this year.
