Despite GOP opposition, Schumer pledges to move ahead on voting rights bill
Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader is reportedly planning on bringing a voting rights and government reform bill to the Senate floor for a vote. The bill, however, is almost certain to meet with failure as a result of Republican opposition. Senators from the Republican Party have claimed that S. 1, known as the For the People Act, is a power grab by Democrats.
