WH defends firing staffers over pot use, says ’it’s still illegal federally’

Jen Psaki, President Joe Biden’s press secretary, defended the firing of 5 White House employees over past marijuana use. Psaki, replying to a reporter, said, ’Marijuana is legal in a number of states across the country, but it is still illegal federally,’ adding that if it was federally legal, things would have been different. She then said ’other security issues’ were also behind the firing.

So will Kamala Harris resign as vice president because she admitted to smoking pot. Will Joe Biden's son face any consequences for the fact he has been caught with drugs on multiple occasions. Oh that's right they won't because like most Democratic politicians and people connected to the Democrats they are above the rules they set for others.

But VP publicly admitted to smoking it, while listening to Tupac and Big E... which means around the same time she was locking up thousands of black men for minor offenses like this, but she didn’t need to resign? How is that justified?

The Vice President recognized using marijuana in the past, would she be fired or demoted too? Otherwise it's plain hypocrisy.

So this one is on congress again. Take up this issue, tax it and regulate it and move on with other more important things. Until then yeah, I think they took the right approach. It's still a federal crime.
