Minnesota production of ’Cinderella’ cancelled over ’98% white’ cast
A suburban Minneapolis theater company has abruptly canceled its production of ’Cinderella’ citing lack of diversity. Chanhassen Dinner Theatres was planning to stage the play later this year but a director scrapped the show slamming its lack of racial diversity. ’It was 98 percent white,’ said the theater’s director, Michael Brindisi. The production company has hired a diversity consultant.

This obsession with diversity is killing the culture. Story, characters, and performances take a back seat to arbitrary quotas, regardless of whether or not it makes sense from a historical perspective.
