NFT ’self-portrait’ by a robot sells for nearly $700,000

A digital artwork by humanoid robot Sophia was sold at auction on Thursday for $688,888 in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT). Sophia produced her art in collaboration with Italian digital artist Andrea Bonaceto. ’I’m so excited about people’s response to new technologies like robotics … and am so glad to be part of these creativities,’ Sophia said.

This has to be some sort of money laundering scheme. Or did they buy $700,000 in drugs, and throw in an NFT to clean the money?

I would also be excited if I had a robot which can generate paintings 24/7 which I can sell then for 700.000 dollar/eur each.

Lol art isn't set anymore. Noenu can just tape a banana to a wall and call that art and ppl.will eye hump it lol. that's it art at all
