Former CDC director says COVID-19 came from lab, but that isn’t a consensus

Robert Redfield, former director of the CDC, said he believes the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 was accidentally released from a lab in Wuhan, China. In the interview taped in January, soon to be aired, Redfield stressed that this is just his opinion, not a proven fact. A number of prominent virologists have said the evidence to support such a claim isn’t there.

It demonstrates a number of suspicious traits that would be consistent with genetic engineering by humans, rather than natural evolution. However, at this point even if a team of scientists came forward with documentation and said " we did this. We have a complete record of how we made it, how we lost it into the wet market, etc..." there would be fact checkers and partisans to call them a hoax. I'm curious though, how peopl can be emotionally invested in this so much that they get ANGRY about a plausible theory. What would you personally lose if it turned out that it was in fact manmade? What would you lose if it was natural?

Yeah and who is the main contributer of the lab is Billy Gates and the democratic party. They have already said it they want reduce the amount of people in the world and this was a way to do it. That why Biden has open borders to teenagers because in 4 yrs they will be eligible to vote. When you have democrats that are willing to pay these immigrants 1100.00 each and out them in hotels with free healthcare, free education and paycheck from the American taxpayers. I'm sure they brainwashed just about anyone with free sh@t.

Shouldn't it say "some other experts disagree" since Robert Redfield himself is also an expert?

Okay 1) Redfield himself stresses it’s an opinion not a fact. 2) it’s a lab in Wuhan neither political party wants to wipe out the US population, stop this paranoid partisan BS. 3) Most experts disagree. 4) In Redfield’s own words “Science will eventually figure it out. It’s not unusual for respiratory pathogens that are being worked on in a laboratory to infect the laboratory worker.” Meaning that even according to him there was not malicious intent behind this “leak” if it is true. 5) Just want to say again stop this paranoid partisan BS because this in fighting isn’t going to get us anywhere.

Most of these scientist were involved in sending samples and tech to china to make the viruses. Of course they don't want to incriminate themselves. They have no proof or honest theories, just strawmen arguments. Dr. Fauci Backed Controversial Wuhan Lab with U.S. Dollars for Risky Coronavirus Research https://www.newsweek.com/dr-fauci-backed-controversial-wuhan-lab-millions-us-dollars-risky-coronavirus-research-1500741 The Genetic Engineering Genie Is Out of the Bottle The next pandemic could be bioengineered in someone’s garage using cheap and widely available technology. https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/09/11/crispr-pandemic-gene-editing-virus/ Strawman argument https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/22221751.2020.1733440 "In our view", there is currently no credible evidence to support the claim that SARS-CoV-2 originated from a laboratory-engineered CoV. It is more likely that SARS-CoV-2 is a recombinant CoV generated in nature between a bat CoV and another coronavirus in an intermediate animal host. More studies are needed to explore this possibility and resolve the natural origin of SARS-CoV-2. We should emphasize that, although SARS-CoV-2 shows no evidence of laboratory origin, viruses with such great public health threats must be handled properly in the laboratory and also properly regulated by the scientific community and governments.

Consensus is not science. You are getting confused with communist social studies courses at universities; The pseudoscience department. Remember when Galileo proposed the sun-centric solar system that 99% of all scientists agreed that he was wrong and should be burned at the stake. Science is not a majority rules area of knowledge. It is a field of study not based on your feelings or proving your religious belief "Right". It is based on evidence, evidence that has not been skewered or deleted for political and funding reasons. Lysenkoism is the path American Academia is headed with all this communist garbage being pushed everywhere. Consensus has nothing to do with science and has no place in any discussion about science especially in the pseudoscience departments, the social sciences, at universities. Time to defund and make universities responsible for the student loans and debt of their customers. It is the only way to return the moral hazard of selling bullshit for profit. Transfer the government student loan liabilities to the Universities endowments. See how fast all this John Cook "97% if all scientist agrees" consensus nonsense last after that.

I don't know much about its origins and think for now that it came from a wet market, but if this man ends up "committing suicide", then I'm definitely going with the lab hypothesis.

If the Chinese themselves thought Covid came from a wet market, they would have in military fashion shut down every wet market. Yet even the Wuhan wet market is open for business. To me, intentional or not, it came from a lab. Time to hold China responsible and charge them to pay the whole would back for all the damages caused directly by the CCP Chinese government, not their people. They could turn over Chinese CCP owned infrastructure around the world, such as African nations ports.

Did they not find that some of Fauci's patented genetic processing was involved with the virus? And did he not make that self-patented info available to the Wuhan lab? If true, it would be nice to hear that explained.
