Mitt Romney felicitated for voting to convict Trump

Senator Mitt Romney was recently recognized for his vote to convict former President Donald Trump. The senator was given the John F. Kennedy ’Profile in Courage Award’ for his vote in Trump’s first impeachment trial in 2020. The Senate had acquitted Mr. Trump in February, 2020. The Senator was also praised for ’defending the integrity of the 2020 presidential election results.’

“Profile in courage” for doing what every MSM new organisation demanded, doing what corporations were financing and what all social media wanted? Falling in line with the grain rather than pushing against it is not courageous lmao

Six unrelated stories (and Romney got a BJ?)...

Vote him out. Is having a grudge against someone a “profile in courage”? Is the bar so low in this new woke culture that we reward everyone whom disagrees with conservatism?

Now he shares an award with Pelosi! Along with a bunch of STIs given the company he keeps.

My father was a speech writer for Romney senior. Great man, good Governor. He would have sat down his son and surly explained what a Judus is and isn’t. Mitt is a Judus to his party, to his constituency of voters and most of all to his father’s legacy.

A profile in Courage for doing cowardly Act. This must be why he lost against Obama, no spine. Well, that and Obama got every Progressive with blinders on to vote for him.

I sincerely hope the left and right can agree that Mitt Romney does not deserve any sort of praise

I believe every Senator should vote on what they think is correct. I don’t care if it voting against Republicans or Democrats. This is not a sports match where you only go with your team. Both sides are full of special interests. I think we need 3 parties. Perhaps a workers party so things dont fall under one groups control.

An award for voting to convict an innocent man, to appease the lying media. That's something, but it ain't courage.

I don't like all these theatrics, he's not a martyr, just make a decision pro or con depending on the law and your concern. You don't need to be paraded, nor do you need to be exiled by your own party for having disagreements. Our whole system today is way too "If you're not with us you're against us".

Just kind of proves this government will reward any sort action that even resembles being a half decent politician, both the left and the right suck. They’re just two sides of the same coin, in my personal opinion we need to go genuinely left and not just left in reference to republicans

This comment section is funny as hell. The meme is true, conservatives really do eat their own. Yeah, screw Mitt Romney. Liberals shouldn’t give him a pass because he did ‘the right thing’ in voting for impeachment. He’s still a conservative, and still votes along party lines for most things, so if you all are willing to throw him to the wolves, we won’t stop you.

Why doesn't he just switch over to the anti-trump democratic party?? Just like other politicians that pretend to be republicans. And in regards to Trump, he might've done some sketchy things in the past before his presidency, but I commend him for some of the things he did during his presidential term.
