Indonesia’s most volatile mountain, Mount Merapi erupts again

On Saturday, Indonesia’s most volatile volcano, Mount Merapi erupted, leaving behind plumes of ash in the air. An official revealed that an avalanche of rocks struck the mountain just before dawn, which was followed by the spread of ash clouds as high as 200m. A mix of debris and lava flowed at least 2 km down the slope of the mountain.
