Bristol Police arrest 10 people as sit-down protest turns violent

Hundreds of demonstrators in Bristol hosted a sit-down protest against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill on Friday night. The demonstration is against a new law which gives the police stronger powers to restrict protests. On Saturday, the officers revealed that they were met with eggs, bottles and bricks being thrown at them. In the course of the same, 10 protesters were arrested.

“Our officers should not have to face having bricks, bottles and fireworks being thrown at them by a mob intent on violence and causing damage to property," Perhaps the legislation is trash, but this sounds like rioting.
