Lisa Ling attends anti-Asian hate protest in Los Angeles

Saturday in Los Angeles witnessed a protest of more than hundred people against the surge in Asian hate crimes. CNN newscaster and documentarian, Lisa Ling, attended the rally sporting slogans along with other demonstrators. The protest was organized by the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles in collaboration with 20 other community-based organizations.

Yeah I'll tread into this one. I think rallying against hate is generally a good thing. I also sympathize with any victims of it, hate can be one road leading to all sorts of horrible things. However why do we have to wait until one demographic of people get singled out until everyone pops out of the woodwork? Can't they just protest hate against anyone or everyone? I mean I don't think they are trying to imply only a certain demographic should be immune from hate so if you make it more general won't that include more people in your cause as well? Just my two cents.
