Most COVID-19 deaths could’ve been prevented, Dr. Deborah Birx

In a new documentary, set to air Sunday, Dr. Deborah Birx contends that most of the nation’s COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented. Birx headed the coronavirus task force under former President Trump. Birx highlights that the number of deaths could have been ’decreased substantially’ if cities and states across the country had aggressively applied the lessons of the first surge.

Yes they could have been prevented if they could have stopped it from escaping the lab. Whether accidental or not. Listing it as a Covid death when it wasn’t necessarily covid could have been preventable also but you know money and all.

Given she was on the task force and a large number of people DID die, she just admitted she and her task force did a lousy job.

Could have been prevented if we had encouraged those who are most vulnerable to stay home, wear masks and social distance, using resources to provide services they need in the safety of their homes, but allowed those who are young and healthy to keep working and living life as normal. But... there’s no money to be made from that and Farti wouldn’t have had his 30 minutes of fame... which has been 28 minutes too long for someone whose been wrong and flipped flopped as much as he has. Birx is no better.

That is bull shait. All European countries are counting Covid deaths the same way... keep denying the problem and see where it gets you... What is it with right wing people? It is not difficult... you let the virus spread ... more people get killed It is all very simple. I don’t get what you are getting out of all your futile denialism... At some point you have to take responsibility for all the pain you caused.

Yes, and how many of the people who perished had comorbiditites or were of old age? Of course more lives could have been saved, but that would have required extremely draconian laws or the majority of Americans to not be obese before 2019. Oh yeah, and I’m not going to forget about how they shoved people who had COVID into the old folks home.

You know what also would've prevented many deaths? China not lying about the China virus and the WHO not covering for them. Also, listening to Taiwan when they tried to warn you about it.

I know of one death after a year. He waited for about three weeks before going to the hospital and lingered there for another few weeks. My parents and I all had it. I was over it in four days thanks to hcq. My mom struggled for two weeks. There is no doubt the virus is real and should be taken seriously... If you get it...and you're older... Or fat. But not taken to the extremes we did. The response to the flu was far more destructive than the virus itself. The pcr tests were too sensitive and gave false positives.. They were also conveniently made less sensitive almost immediately after Joe's inauguration (cdc guidelines I believe) . There is no asymptomatic spread...negating the logic for wearing masks. The counting of covid deaths was inflated... Per Dr birx own admission. Hcq likely could have prevented many deaths. Not putting infected people into nursing homes could have as well. I don't know the exact number but at one point it was as high as 40% of all deaths were from nursing homes. This may have changed and the data from NY has been tampered with to say the least. Realistically, if you are not fat or old you have about a .05% chance of death. Does anyone still believe we should have shut down all of the businesses and destroyed the savings of so many people? Caused so many others to go deeper in debt? Printed so much more money thus devaluing everything that all of us have worked for? I can't see the logic in any of the measures taken. Mask mandates have had no correlation with reduction of cases. The vaccine does not prevent you from getting the disease or from transmission of it. Honestly if we did nothing we would have been better off. I heard the virus doesn't affect the Amish....because they don't have TV.

absolutely! if they kept sick people out of the nursing homes. they also could have prevented all the financial hardships if they had protected the elderly and vulnerable while letting everyone else live normal lives. but in the end this wasn't about stopping the virus or flattening the curve. it is about killing the economy, debasing the dollar and completing the great reset. which is nothing but complete control over everyone and everything.

A lot of the covid deaths could have been prevented by admitting they were not covid deaths but just marking them down as covid.

1 year... And I still do not now of a single "Covid death" out of the thousands of people i know. Friends and family across the entire country, from Florida to Alaska........ Not one single death. Covid is fake news.

I would be curious what specific 'lessons' she is talking about? As, even when ignoring the debate over lockdowns and masks, much of the advice from the government during, and for quite a long time after, the 'first surge' was inconsistent at best and contradictory at worst.

She sees faucci making a career out of going on TV and saying whatever the TV people want and she wants that too. Maybe tomorrow she'll be on Fox saying the opposite just like faucci would

The deaths were obviously all Trump's fault as no one has died since Biden took over. Same with the border crisis, relations with China and Russia, North Korean missiles, etc..../s

Given the fact that states that had aggressive lockdowns from the start don't have better numbers than states that didn't, I'm calling this a lie.

Maybe if they classed deaths appropriately, like other countries, the Covid death toll would read differently? http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2020/04/08/dr_birx_unlike_some_countries_if_someone_dies_with_covid-19_we_are_counting_that_as_a_covid-19_death.html?jwsource=cl
