USA Today ’race and inclusion’ editor fired for tweet about Boulder shooting

A ’race and inclusion’ editor at USA Today said she had been fired after what she called a ’careless’ tweet following the Boulder shooting. ’It’s always an angry white man. always,’ ex-editor Hemal Jhaveri had said Monday in the tweet. Jhaveri apologized and deleted her tweet after the identity of the shooter was revealed. She blamed her firing as ’challenging whiteness and being punished for it.’

“Challenging whiteness,” LOL. There’s a clear statement of racial bias and prejudice. Why not challenge actually offensive behavior and thinking, such as racial stereotypes, hatred, and discrimination, instead of unfairly vilifying an entire race/skin color?

I would expect the same to happen for anyone that stereotypes such as she did.
