Oxford may scrap sheet music, calling it’s complicit in ’white supremacy’

Staff members from the University of Oxford’s music department have suggested removing sheet music from the school’s curriculum. The faculty reportedly questioned whether the curriculum was complicit in ’white supremacy,’ adding that the music notation has not ’shaken off its connection to its colonial past’ and it stands to be a ’slap in the face’ for students of color.
