Dominion says it could file lawsuits against other media outlets and even Trump
A lawyer for Dominion Voting Systems said Monday that the company has not ruled out pursuing lawsuits against former President Trump and other media outlets. ’We’re gonna have a chance to really peek behind the curtain of understanding the people’s roles, and that would include the president,’ attorney Tom Clare said. Dominion has filed a $1.6B lawsuit against Fox News.
Go for it! Anyone can file a lawsuit. The problem is if they are proven to be baseless lawsuits Dominion will be on the hook for legal costs. I can sue anyone for anything too, but that doesn't mean I have a legitimate case. I personally hope they bring as many lawsuits as possible. Dominion is putting themselves in a very vulnerable position. Either they go through with lawsuits and allow for discovery (which would certainly included access to their software, machines, logs, and employee records) and possibly lose on merits paying legal costs, or they most likely are forced to drop the suits before discovery and they wasted the money filing. There is already enough evidence of failures in their machines, software, and proceedures to justify the criticism they have received so I really don't see any ending that is beneficial to dominion. To me this just seems like publicly moves to save face and keep future deals with other states ongoing.
Had their 'lawyer' graduated law school yet? The only way to sue for slander is to prove malicious intent. Take the Covington kids, for example, CNN knew they were screwed because everyone knew they had the entire video and yet they selectively edited it and blatantly lied about those kids and what they did. How is Dominion going to prove Fox knew anything since they resisted all attempts at examining their software and machines. The first amendment gives broad protections to the press. You can't sue over someone's speculation, only their malicious intent. What contrary evidence did Fox have?
Dominion is really making a show of it. Of course, they will never let any of these suits go to trial where the defendants would be allowed to present evidence of their claims.

I personally think i''s postering, but I would love for this case to make it to the discovery phase, but primarily so we can stop talking about it once and for all...regardless as to the outcome.

We want the facts to be public and out in the open. Let's prove once and for all what really happened to this election. Dominion is a huge parrt of it. It's not even all of it but wouldn't proving their machines were knowingly programmed for corruption be enough all by itself to put this election right.
They still hide the code, it should all be mechanical. Software can never be trusted especially secret code.

This lawsuit is completely bogus. The good news is, it might bring out the real facts about the past election. It's only fair that our elections are one hundred percent honest. All Americans will benefit.

Dear Yahoo news, The title to your “story” is not ncorrect. Dominion has not sued Fox News for 1.6 Billion, they have filed a suit against Fox News for 1.6 billion. No decision has been rendered yet so they have not been “sued”. I know this “news” stuff is real hard and you have no real reporters or *cough* journalists, but you have to try a little harder before you hit the “publish” button.
