Amazon union vote count set to start for Alabama warehouse workers

Vote counting is underway in an election to determine whether Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer, Alabama, will form a union. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is to tally the votes to see if the Bessemer workers will form a union with the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU). If successful, the warehouse would be the first union at Amazon in the US.

I don't really like unions, but Amazon's behavior has really left me with nothing I can support instead to insure they treat their employees fairly. Good for them I guess.

Michael It’s the other way around. Amazon was the high bar in logistics. The logistics center I worked for lost half its pickers the day the Amazon center opened up across the street. The next day they gave a $3.00 per hour raise to all who would please stay. Amazon forces its competitors to pay their employees more. But you go ahead and hate them because Bezos is rich or whatever.

Amazon drives wages down in the logistics market. It used to be a career, they want to turn it into a minimum wage gig.

Hopefully it fails... unions hurt decent people... not help in any form in today's age... (due to labor laws etc.)

How dare Amazon employees organize to get a fair wage from a company with more money than God.

Shut it down. The government will pay your wages..... Either you want to work or you don't. Do your job. If you don't like that job get a different one. If you find yourself changing jobs all the time maybe your the issue.

Oh this is rich. Why would leftist Amazon want cameras monitoring ballot boxes? Election fraud maybe? Talk about the goose and gander.
