Body of Swiss hostage killed by al-Qaida affiliate recovered in Mali
The body of a Swiss woman who was kidnapped and killed by Jama’at Nusrat Al-Islam wal Muslimin, an al-Qaida-linked terror group, in Mali has been recovered. The Switzerland government said DNA tests confirmed the body found was that of Beatrice Stoeckli, a Christian missionary, who was kidnapped in 2016. French officials had announced that Stoeckli had been killed by her captors in October.
