Man charged with federal hate crime after attacking Black teen
42-year-old Lee James Mouat, a resident of Michigan was charged with a federal hate crime after he reportedly attacked a Black teenager at a park over the summer. Mouat hit the teenager in the face with a metal bike lock. He had approached a group of Black teenagers on June 6 and repeatedly used racial slurs, telling them they had no right to use the public beach.

Even if he's a race supremacist, I doubt he goes around smashing random black's faces with bike locks... So it begs the question, what was the black teen doing to make this guy choose to smash him in the face with a bike lock? Was he in the middle of committing a crime?
