Northern Ireland police appeal for calm after more unrest

Police in Northern Ireland continued to come under attack by rioters the third night in a row on Sunday. A day before, politicians and police had appealed for calm after 27 policemen were injured in loyalist areas in Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus. Loyalists are angry over post-Brexit trading arrangements which have been claimed to have created barriers between N. Ireland and the rest of the UK.

All right get from the three stories listed at the time are; the people are unhappy with the brexit deal for Northern Ireland, and a bunch of politicians went to a funeral. Rioting doesn’t sound even remotely reasonable as a response to any of that... so... what’s the real story?
