Sen. Raphael Warnock rebuked for Easter message in now deleted tweet
Sen. Raphael Warnock has deleted a tweet with an Easter message after it came under criticism. ’The meaning of Easter is more transcendent than the resurrection of Jesus Christ,’ Warnock, the senior pastor of New Ebenezer Baptist Church, said. He deleted the tweet several hours later after being slammed on Twitter, with some calling him a ’phony pastor’ and promoting ’false doctrine.’

More transcendent than Christ's resurrection, he? Well, bestowing grace, forgiveness, and compassion to your fellow man is something Jesus himself would think is more important than His resurrection. Otherwise, why did he even bother going through with the passion play. Forgiveness just plain don't exist in this world, even among some Christians.

But it's true. Easter is a pagan fertility celebration with Jesus posted on it's face so that it could be used to convert pagans. It was common practice to use whatever local traditions already existed. The shamrock was used to explain the trinity. Evergreens with candles on it were appropriated for Christmas from scandinavian. Christmas itself is basically an ancient Greek holiday called saturnarius (not sure of spelling). Nothing about christianity is original. I don't know why some people want America to surrender its sovereignty to some fringe element of a particular religion.
