Gunmen free nearly 2,000 inmates from southeast Nigeria prison

Heavily armed gunmen attacked a prison facility and police command center in the southeastern Nigerian city of Owerri, Imo state and freed 1,844 inmates by blowing a part of the prison wall with explosives, authorities said.
