A man has been arrested by the police in Netherlands for reportedly stealing paintings worth £18 million painted by the likes of Vincent Van Gogh and Frans Hals. The same was done by the man during night-time raids on museums last year. The 58-year old reportedly stole The Parsonage Garden by Van Gogh and the Two Laughing Boys by Hals.
It is likely tha paintings were being stolen 'to order'. It's not like there is any available, open market. Police should concentrate on who wanted the paintings as they may well find others that have been missing over the years.
