Slain Capitol Police Officer to lie in honor in the Rotunda
Late U.S. Capitol Police Officer William ’Billy’ F. Evans, who was killed in the line of duty on April 2, will lie in honor in the United States Capitol rotunda, House and Senate Democratic leaders announced on Tuesday. Evans was killed when a man rammed his car into a barrier at the Capitol. The man struck Evans and another officer and lunged at them with a knife.
