Attorneys argue whether man in car with Floyd must testify

Attorneys in the trial of Derek Chauvin made arguments about whether George Floyd’s friend, Morries Hall, who was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle with Floyd when he was initially questioned by police in May, should be forced to testify. Both the prosecution and the defense teams had identified Mr. Hall as a potential witness. Hall, however, might invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege.

He should be forced to testify. He likely has some valuable information to contribute. If he elects to use the fifth, I'm sure the jurors will understand the answer is being withheld because the truth is uncomfortable.
