Minneapolis top cop says Chauvin violated policy in Floyd restraint

Medaria Arradondo, Minneapolis police chief, while testifying in the murder trial of former officer Derek Chauvin in George Floyd’s death, said Chauvin violated department’s policy in pinning his knee on George Floyd’s neck even after Floyd had stopped resisting and was in distress. Arradondo said the way Chauvin restraint Floyd was ’certainly not part of our ethics and our values.’

Interesting. Now that the autopsy report isn't the slam dunk prosecutors we're hoping it would be, they want to have it removed yet claim it was solely asphyxiation that killed Floyd? Sounds like they know its contents would bring about enough reasonable doubt to not get the murder convictions they were wanting. https://jonathanturley.org/2021/04/05/prosecutors-ask-jurors-to-dismiss-george-floyd-autopsy-findings/

I bet police morale must be at an all time high knowing their chief is more than willing to throw them under the bus to create the appearance he's willing to pander to local public opinion in an attempt to save his own career.

Except not really. Reasonable doubt is seriously starting to sink in and the prosecution knows it: https://twitter.com/JackPosobiec/status/1379183469239078918?s=19

I wonder if this so called top cop had anything to do with the training of these officers, or if he has ever used his knee in the apprehension of a criminal.

Oof: "#ChauvinTrial Sgt Mercil asked if he can see the placement of Chauvin's head? Yes. Another photo 1046, you can see Mr Chauvin's knee between the shoulder blade of Mr Floyd? Yes Sir. Does this appear to be a neck restraint? No Sir" https://twitter.com/seandilleyNEWS/status/1379479963959750662?s=19
