Verizon is recalling 2.5 million hotspot devices due to concerns over fire hazard. This comes after the company discovered that the lithium-ion battery in the devices can overheat and create a fire. Verizon had received 15 such reports, with at least two of them involving minor injuries. The recall will impact Ellipsis Jetpack mobile hotspots sold between April 2017 and March 2021.
