"The U.S. economy is the world's most powerful engine of wealth creation and prosperity," John Lettieri, president and chief executive officer of Washington D.C.-based think tank Economic Innovation Group, told U.S. lawmakers March 17. "In spite of this, the lack of wealth at the bottom remains a troubling and persistent fact of life in this country." The wealth gap continues to expand. This is not healthy for the economy or society.

Look these 8 people work 7,000,000 times harder than any given person on the planet. This is what capitalism is you either work really hard and pull yourself up from your bootstraps or you’re poor and should starve.

It's not how much you are worth that counts, it's what you actually do with all that wealth that tells the story.

Maybe wealth redistribution isn’t a bad thing. 37,252 homeless veterans on a single night in January, but 8 people can be worth $1 TRILLION.

Congratulations to them. I applaud their success as I pursue my own. Many of these people worked very hard to reach this pinnacle. Well done. Warren Buffett for instance began work as a child delivering papers. He grew up in Omaha Nebraska dirt poor. In addition to working at the newspaper he was also working several other jobs simultaneously. Going from not a dime in his pocket to over 100 billion dollars in his bank account his inspiration to all Americans and a reminder that the American dream is still within our grasp.
