Supreme Court case could impact presidential pardons

A case that is in front of the Supreme Court could affect the President’s powers of pardon. Terance Gamble in Mobile Alabama was sentenced to a year by a state court then three more years by federal court, which his lawyers say goes against the double jeopardy rule. If SCOTUS says this is unconstitutional this could strengthen Trump’s ability to pardon Paul Manafort for overlapping offenses.
