Afghanistan withdrawal a ’huge propaganda victory’ for Taliban: Cheney

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney said that President Joe Biden’s decision to pull out all remaining US troops from Afghanistan by Sept. 11 is a ’huge propaganda victory’ for the Taliban and al Qaeda. She criticized the President and said ’The notion that on the day that they attacked us, we are going to mark that anniversary by withdrawing our forces?’

Im all for ending our involvement in Afghanistan, but the critics of this specific decision have a point, the optics are terrible.

Lol we pull out of Afghanistan, somehow that makes us look bad? That country has had foreign invaders for almost two hundred years, they will bow to no one.

The withdrawal should have happened decades ago.

Wow, all the neocons and neoliberals are coming out of the woodwork. These people profit off of death. They are sick and twisted individuals that shouldnt have any say in geopolitics. War is only acceptable when it is truly in selfdefence.

I'm not sure the future of Afghanistan, but I do think it's time for other countries to stop going in and trying to intervene to fix their nation's politics. By all means, protect US citizens and property from a tax based in afghanistan, but let them sort out their own internal issues, hopefully to the benefit of their own citizens.
