Brazil hospitals face severe shortage of intubation drugs

Brazil’s health workers are forced to intubate patients without the aid of sedatives, AP reported. This comes at a time when the country is being ravaged by Covid-19. The reported quoted a doctor from Rio de Janeiro as saying health workers diluted sedatives to make their stock last longer in vain. Once it ran out, they had to use neuromuscular blockers and tying patients to their beds.

Brazil needs to get EUA on Lenzilumab that saves lives and prevents patients needing to be intubated in the first place. It dramatically reduces hospital stay which is amazing for those hospitals that are being threatened by overcapacity
