TF fell from grace when he opposed Brexit and called all brexiteers racist.

I stopped following him on youtube and farcebook when he did that. I rejoined after it had blown over and then he doubled down. I got sick of it and never went back. I watch his science videos when they pop up in my stream and will look out for something about this. He thinks that politics is like science and there's right and wrong. Unfortunately, he's very wrong here and his attitude to those who disagree (you have the right to disagree with the politics of immigration, not so much with the laws of thermodynamics unless you have very good evidence) is to disparage them and that's a real shame. Maybe he has learnt. Who knows.

Actually looks like a Buck Rodgers ship of the 50's.

Looks mostly like it has fuck all chance of lifting unless it's empty... You see how many engines the Saturn rockets had? This HAS to be a publicity stunt like the empty shells of Hyperloop pods which were form only and functionally unviable.

I believe it was said by SpaceX already, this is a mock-up to test the booster. It'll probably be filled with ballast to match the mass (and it's distribution) of the final vehicle.

A very selfish part of me hopes they have to delay the launch to Mars long enough for my kids to be an age that will remember it, the way a generation was inspired by the moon landing. Or it could go disastrously, but you know.

I'm pretty sure that people will not go to Mars anytime soon, so I don't think you have to worry on that front. Your kids may have jobs before people make it to Mars. But unlike the moon landing, where interest lasted for all of 3 years, the Mars landing of 2038 will last half of a day's news cycle and some story about a new twerking-like trend and another story about thousands of teens drinking Drain-O for a dare will get into the spotlight before the sun rises on the next day.

Nice and shiny, but will it fly or will it explode?
