Portland: Riot declared following violent protests against police shootings

A riot was declared by the police in Portland after protesters smashed windows of downtown businesses and lit fires during a demonstration. This was the third night in five days when the police declared a riot, in the wake of police shootings nationwide, including those claiming the lives of Adam Toledo, 13, in Chicago and Daunte Wright, 20, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

you mean the 13yo gang banger who had a gun and was running from cops? or the 20yo gang banger who tried to flee from cops even though he had a warrant for unlawful weapons possession (and that was an accident - stupid cop, but not murder)

I have to assume portland enjoys a nightly bonfire. Who am I to judge? Maybe they are right to destroy the city?

Wow, how bad has it got to be for Portland to admit it's a Riot?

Well you're right, protest should not turn into riots, just like traffic stop should not turn into murder. Should have listened when it just was all about kneeling at a football game.

I don't see why they just don't Corral everybody in the rest of them and hold them for 30 days minimum sentence this is getting ridiculous everybody acts like it was not the kids fault he's the one that tried to get away the police should have just let him drive off and go to his house and arrest them

Let it burn. Just make sure you fence in the animals that are causing violence and let the good, honest people out.

Rioting doesn't further any progress, it only pushes people away from the issues.
