Apple chief Tim Cook calls for new regulations to protect individual’s data

Apple CEO Tim Cook on Thursday called on US Congress to pass a new, comprehensive federal privacy law — one that would give every American access to and control over their own personal data that is currently being collected by technology companies. He stated that consumers shouldn’t tolerate another year of companies irresponsibly amassing huge user profiles that aren’t properly protected.
