Police suspect New IRA in Northern Ireland car bombing

Northern Ireland police said the three security alerts on Monday have ended after the department confirmed the incidents. Police confirmed all three alerts were hoaxes. Earlier police carried out a controlled explosion on a vehicle that was hijacked by masked men in Londonderry and examined two other abandoned vans. This came two days after a car bomb in the city - linked to the New IRA.
