Facebook meme could be used for training AI and mining data, report says

The Facebook created ’10 Year Challenge’ involves a user taking a picture from 10 years ago, comparing it to a current picture and then uploading the results on to a Facebook post. A new report claims user selfies could help in training Facebook’s facial recognition artificial intelligence and could also be used by Facebook for commercial purposes.

It’s like we didn’t expect this 5 years ago when this meme went around the first time. Or like there isn’t a meme about Facebook doing this. Lol!!

Does Facebook even deny this? They'd probably look better if they just came out of the door with it and said, "do this meme, we're gonna use it to our own ends to profit because profit is why we do anything and everything." Perhaps I went overboard on their explanation, but it's so obvious it just seems like being open and honest couldn't hurt. I guess most people just don't think about things like Facebook being a business, and their for everything they can make money from legally, they will. Everything they do is done with the goal of making money. It's so simple, yet I get that it goes right over people's heads, and I mean that with no condescending attitude. This stuff is uncomfortable, but it is the future, no getting around it. People can try to slow it down with legislation, but they likely can't even do that.

I know we can't escape being the labrats of these corporations as long as we use their products and services. Almost every app you install on your Google device asks to have camera and gallery permission!

This is frightening and obvious that this is being done. FB works with U.S. the intelligence agencies already, now only easier for you to get shadow banned when they recognize you in a photo doing something the overlords deem unacceptable. How does anyone with a functional brain still use FB?
