Supreme Court to weigh New York City curbs on transporting handguns

The US Supreme Court on Tuesday took up its biggest gun rights case in a nearly decade, agreeing to hear a challenge backed by the National Rifle Association lobby group. The court will review a 2018 lower court ruling upholding NY city’s restrictions after a group claimed the regulations violated the US Constitution’s Second Amendment right to ’keep and bear arms’.

They need to write a painfully detailed opinion on one of these gun cases. Numerous municipalities and angry judicial activists keep giving DC v. Heller an incredibly narrow reading in order to skirt what the ruling actually means.

I actually kind of disagree with this. Most crime is done with easily concealable handguns. I kind of wish there was a medical/Psychiatric evaluation in the process of buying a gun.
