Indianapolis mass shooting suspect legally bought 2 guns

The suspected gunman in the mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis legally purchased two ’assault rifles’ believed to have been used in the attack, police said Saturday. Brandon Scott Hole, 19, bought the rifles last July and September. A day earlier FBI confirmed that a ’shotgun was seized’ from Hole in March 2020 after his mother raised concerns about his mental health.

Mass shooter legally bought two guns after the FBI was told he was ripe to commit suicide by cop. I think the FBI bears responsibility for their inaction

How did he legally buy a gun? He was investigated by the FBI and his mother was trying to get him committed. That should have tripped a 4473 check somewhere, even if it was just a "delay the results and double check this dude".

But, but, but.......universal background checks, blah blah blah. Mental health is more of a common denominator than type of firearm but judges decided that people can't be involuntarily committed without having committed a crime so now we wait for a crime to be committed so the dems can violate our rights while protecting the rights of those who need serious help. Smh.

See the problem isnt guns. The problem is crazy people. Bring back the days when crazy people were locked up. Mass shootings will stop.

He bought those fire arms legally burung a time he was not supposed to... The background check serve no purpuce if the FBI is not doing it's jobe. Again , measure put in place and not used... Who is paying for those measures?

What if the mother triggered this by getting the FBI to seize his shotgun? Did they use a red flag law or a warrant? I lack necessary information to determine anything here.

So he was determined to be a danger to himself and others enough that his gun was confiscated, but he was still able to just go out and buy more. So republicans, if these shootings are a mental health issue, why are we allowing people with severe mental issues buy guns? If it is a mental health issue, why not medicare for all? As long as we have mass shootings so frequently that the flags never leave half mast we are not a first world nation.

Well he didn’t buy assault rifles first. Two this is solely on law enforcement. They had a process to follow when seizing that shotgun and didn’t do it

FedEx will now be outfitting all of their employees with standard issue Beretta 9mm handguns, you may have up to two (2) enhancements on the weapon, but your holster must be black.

Classic case of mental illness and a broken system, not a gun issue. There should be a two to three tiered process in place so that if one measure misses the red flag, the second or third measure catches it when applying for a gun. With all the concern on full display, you would think this is a no brainer. However, less shootings done with legally obtained guns would indicate it’s a process problem and not a gun problem and we can’t have that.

Red states need to have a free gunand ammo program. Arm them up and let them self-extinct. Genius.

I thought news voice would be full of people who did their research before impulsively commenting. I was wrong, and I'm not going to waste an ounce of energy replying to any of you except for writing this statement. Reading 1/4 of an article, law, or news summary does not educate you, it just let's you read what you want to see. Do not speak about matters you are not fully educated on.
