Nissin apologises for whitening tennis star’s face in advert

Japanese noodle company Nissin has been accused of ’whitewashing’ the mixed-race Naomi Osaka in a manga drawing. The company, which sponsors the Japanese tennis team, apologized as the row escalated saying it will pay more attention to diversity issues in the future. Osaka did not comment on the issue.

If you think that's a problem you should watch some Japanese TV and see how they portray black people.

To be completely fair to the noodle company, Tennis stars tend to look pinker than Patrick Star. The illustration isn’t too inaccurate to the original, however I do see the problem that is brought up with whitewashing.
