UK man who fled after speedboat death detained in Georgia

A British man who went on the run last year after the death of a woman in a speedboat crash on the River Thames has been detained in Georgia. Jack Shepherd, 31, was convicted in his absence last July of the manslaughter by gross negligence of Charlotte Brown, 24. The boat hit floating debris and both were thrown into the water, where Brown died from cold water immersion.
