Air traffic controllers’ union issues safety warning over shutdown

The unions that represent the nation’s air traffic controllers, pilots and flight attendants issued a warning on Wednesday, saying the government shutdown was fuelling an ’unprecedented’ safety threat that is growing by the day. The unions said major airports were already seeing security checkpoints close, and more closings could follow.

Then PRIVATIZE it!!! Our national interests are not served by a public monopoly that is less efficient and more expensive.

You will get payed the full amount after the shutdown ends. There is no good reason to endanger other people just because you didn't get payed for a month. Ok I get it, it may be a stressful situation, but there is a reason to have savings.
